Mitsubishi DLP televisions are out and about and people are taking notice. The WD65735, WD73835, WD-73835, and a couple others that are popping up in stores all over the country are getting a lot of attention.
For people that already own them, you can find the manual here.
More importantly the replacement lamp for these televisions is all the same. It’s part number 915b403001 or 915B403001.
This Mitsubishi DLP TV lamps is currently available for $159 from PacificGeek.com.
In the manua, pages 80 and 81 are the most important as they deal with replacing the lamp specifically. The really cool part that I didn’t realize is that 915b403001 comes with a warranty!
This the note in the manual that you should keep in mind:
Lamp under warranty: All lamps replaced under warranty
must be returned to Mitsubishi. Use the return
shipping label provided and send to Mitsubishi Digital
Electronics, America, 1001 Cherry Drive, Suite 2, Braselton,
GA 30517.
IMPORTANT: Lamps found to be without defect will
be returned and charged back to the sender.
The price for the lamp is $99 dollars from Mitsubishi. Anyone charging more than that is only trying to take your money from you and make a profit because you don’t know any better.
