Accessing the service menu could render your TV non-functional if you make incorrect entries, so it should only be done with extreme caution!

Procedure

1. To access the service menu, with the TV off, press the following buttons on the remote control sequentially in rapid succession (note: if the TV is already on, you can start by turning the power off, but then you should enter the full 4-button sequence within about 3 seconds to avoid a lamp restart):
<DISPLAY> <5> <Volume +> <POWER>

2. Press <JUMP> until the PANEL service menu displays.

3. Press <2> until the OPTION_E category appears.

4. The “LampTM” (lamp power-on time in hours) and “LampCT” (lamp on/off cycles) entries are in the first item in the OPTION_E category. If they are not displayed, press <1> repeatedly until they do.

Flashing LEDs

  • The “LAMP” LED should come on and stay on if your lamp is dead.
  • When the green “POWER” LED flashes, it indicates that the lamp is in the process of (or at least trying to) turn on.
  • When the red “STANDBY” LED flashes, it indicates that the TV needs service. The number of times it flashes help sdiagnose the problem. It should flash rapidly between 3 and 10 times, followed by an approximately 3 second pause, followed by the series of flashes again.
