Have to say that I learned something today with this one. I was doing my regular research (to make sure we’re bringing you the most up-to-date info online) and I caught this AVSForum thread.
That’s when I learned a few things. First the lamp in all of the newest and latest Mitsu DLPs is 180W. This is a lot brighter than the traditional 100W lamps that were the first generation Samsung DLPs years ago.
Most importantly, finding out that the lamp retails for a very light on the pocket amount of $99 dollars make me want to do the lamp giveaway even more. $99 bucks almost makes me “OK” with the idea of having to spring for one of these every 12-18 months.
If you were holding off on buying one of the new WD-60C8, WD65C8, WD-73C8 televisions do so knowing that when the bulb blows you won’t have to pay an arm and a leg to replace it. Unless, you’re buying it from these guys.
