Years ago, Gateway surprised the Electronics world when they announced a 42″ plasma TV for $999. Now you can get 50+ inches for the same money. In fact, for people looking for a value DLP has been a great alternative. If you’re looking for something larger than 60″ DLP looks even better.
The problem with a value like this is that at some point the well will run dry. We’ve written here plenty of times about how the number of DLP television manufacturer has dwindled down to two. Even Samsung is focusing more on LCD and plasma after being the brand synonymous with DLP for so many years.
