Montauk Monster Mystery..Solved!!

While it’s true that this blog focuses on DLP TV lamps like Sony XL2100U, it’s hard to not be bombarded by the internet sensation that’s the “Montauk Monster.”

After doing research and digging deep, and calling in my own team of analysts (most my imaginary friends that never went away after grade school) I’ve solved the mystery.

On your marks, get set….

It’s called linkbait.  Sadly, this is all a shell game and we all got tricked into thinking that the pea was somewhere hiding.  Websites look the opportunity to latch onto something like this because even if you’re a joe-schmoe site (like us!) and write something about this “phenomena” you’re guaranteed to get people interested to click and read whatever “news” you’ve put together which more than likely just came from the same site where you saw it.

Website visitors are nothing more than pageviews.  Pageviews to authors ultimately translate into $$$$ unless they’re on some pay-per-post arrangement.  Think about this the next time you blindly click to read about a story that seems almost impossible.

This message was brought to you by the esteemed team here at TVLampsnbulbs.com.  Have a great day.

P.S – Gawker Media has driven 1MM+ pageviews from their barage of stories on the monster, that would make you think it’s an iPhone or something.
