The internet is ablaze with so much buzz of an upcoming notebook that you’d think that there wasn’t a financial meltdown going on across Wall St. It’s almost a guarantee that whatever Apple (AAPL) annouces that people will be lining up to buy one, get it home and sing it’s praises.
In an attempt to capture more marketshare, the rumor is that the Cupertino company will slashing prices. The biggest part about Apple that helped people becoming fanatics of the culture is the upscale appearance of the brand. In recent years, pricing of Apple products followed suit with you unable to get one unless you wanted to spend $500+ on the Mac mini desktop. In the laptop world you have to spend at least $1,199 unless you’re a college student or are able to buy a refurbished one from their store.
The Apple store is down, which almost certainly means that something is going to be updated or replaced.
We don’t have the bandwitdth to play with the big boys and cover the Apple event taking place at 1pm EST. Instead, we’ve put together a list of places where you can check it all out for yourself.
