The idea of Apple stepping in and revolutionizing a product category is something stores and customers all secretly wait for. What they did for MP3 players has helped stores both online and offline sell millions of players and billions of dollars in accessories and gift cards.
Sadly, television will NOT be one of the spaces they enter. Apple has a bunch of money in the bank and the last thing they’d want to do is walk into a razor thin product category like televisions. Movies, and television shows are done through Apple TV. There is just no need for them to walk down that dark path.
