It’s one of those unassailable truths in business, when things look like they are about to suck prices come down, marketing goes up and magically the associate that previously didn’t look your way now wants to be your best friend.
With Circuit City recently announcing that they’re going bankrupt, many assumed that Best Buy was impervious to the changes in the market and the economy. All of that changed today when they reported a cut in their guidance.
They cut their guidance for 2009, and their investors cut their stock price.
What does all this mean for you? If you’re shopping this holiday season, give them a try before you decide to shop online. As horrible as the experience may be sometimes, a great price might make up for paying for shipping and having to wait to get your new big screen.
