LG want to steal some thunder from Mitsubishi and their line of Laservue televisions. According to EngadgetHD, LG is said to be releasing a few 3D HDTVs in 2009. This would also put them in the company of Samsung who has several televisions that support 3D out of the box.
This makes a lot of sense with more 3D content being made available and manufacturers with little else to do with television reaching the bleeding edge of thinness and brightness.
