To enter the service menu of the 46A500 and get access to a bunch of features which will actually make it work morelike a A550, you just have to enter the following into your remote:
MUTE, then 1 8 2 POWER
Be careful. Be forewarned. If you mess up your television, you’ll most likely have to go and get a new one. Don’t do this unless you know what you’re doing.
