Amazon offers a White Glove Delivery Service on certain purchases. It’s their way of making themselves stand out from the competition. They just stepped it up by not only letting you know that if you order by January 23rd, you’ll be able to get your TV in time for the Super Bowl (taking place on Feb. 1) but you won’t have to worry about getting it up the stairs and out of the box.
Here’s how Amazon describes the service:
To achieve the highest customer satisfaction, we provide a white-glove delivery service designed to ensure that your purchase arrives damage-free and in a timely manner. Televisions 27 to 40 inches receive scheduled delivery to your door. Televisions smaller than 27 inches are delivered using Amazon.com’s standard shipping services and are eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping. Free shipping options apply only to purchases made from or fulfilled by Amazon.com. Does not apply to purchases made from other merchants on the Amazon.com website.
After your purchase, an agent will call you within five days to arrange delivery. At your home, delivery experts make the process simple. They will:
- Carry your product to any accessible room in your home–including upstairs–provided the package will fit
- Unpack your product and place it on assembled furniture
- Provide a setup checklist
- Remove all packing materials from your home if you wish
