According to TGDaily, a report came out stating that while people are buying more HDTVs they aren’t watching HD content.
This should be too surprising for a couple of reasons:
-Everyone isn’t using Cable/Satellite
-Most retail stores don’t sell analog TVs anymore
-HD content is typically more expensive than regular content for people who do have Cable/Satellite
-Percent of people live in areas which aren’t accessible to get HD signal properly
-Lack of awareness to the benefits of HD programming
Ultimately this will change, but it will be gradual as more HD programming is created and people have fewer alternatives to getting HD access with their television service.
