At around 7pm EST, we went over to our local Best Buy and picked up our Dynex 42 Inch plasma. We knew it was only 720p, and that it wasn’t made from a major brand, but at $549 ($580 after tax) there weren’t any deals which came close.
Unboxing it was a breeze. The box has four white plugs which are used to keep the top part of the box attached to the bottom part of the box. Once you remove them, you’re all set. We took the bubble wrap off of the set and hooked up DirecTV and it all just worked.
Right now, we’re watching the Lakers play the Magic on ESPN and the picture is fantastic. It doesn’t look like a high end BRAVIA, but once again — for the price there isn’t much better available. If it goes back on sale don’t believe what other people are saying. The television is good, the build quaity is good and the picture quality is phenomal.
