In another sign of global economic issues forcing companies to make tough decisions, Panasonic announces that it will not be going ahead with two TV factories it was planning on building. The two factories would have cost the manufacturer $1.5 Billion which the company will be able to hold onto to better weather the financial turmoil.
The moves comes after Sanyo is in the process of taking over the plasma and LCD TV maker. This may mark the beginning of several cuts made by electronics companies.
