Samsung already brings parts of the internet to people via their Infolink feature. They will be taking this to the next level by including Yahoo “gadgets” into the television viewing experience.
This will be another way for consumers to access information such as sports scores, weather, news, and email from the comfort of their couch. Previously there were products like WebTV which tried to do the same thing but the content, and the speed of service didn’t allow it to flourish. This time around they are making the television the center of the equation and using software to add functionality.
