Say what you want about LCD HDTVs, there are some great advances being made and one of them is firmware. Before, if a manufacturer was made aware of a problem with their hardware they’d have to order a recall and hope that everyone knew to send their defective units in. With firmware updates, you can get the latest and greatest features without having to send it in to be services.
If you own an A850/860 series Samsung HDTV there’s a firmware update available to you. You can find the new firmware here. The firmware is set to fix an issue people were having with operating a set-top box (STB) with the remote control.
