The HDGuru is reporting that Honeywell is preparing to enter the LCD HDTV market in a big way. They’ll be selling sizes from 47 to 82 inches and giving their televisions a 5 year warranty. This will help it stand out in a big way since most manufacturers usually give you a year at the max with the lower end brands only giving you 90 days.
I’ll have to see how they’re priced before I start jumping up for joy, but with more people wanting HDTVs it only makes sense to add competition.
Somewhere in California Vizio is waiting patiently to see how Honeywell prices their new HDTVs.
