Lots of new HDTVs are showing up, and while the specs look great with tons of HDMI ports, 1080p resolution, 600 Hz refresh rates, and even RSS and widgets being built into the television experience.
The downside is that for the most part the new television you’ve been eyeing whether it costs you $800 or $3,000 the speakers will probably be the same.
Most manufacturers will give you two 10 watt speakers and hope that you are so wowed by the picture you never wonder why the sound isn’t as good as a movie theater.
AJC has some great tips on how to get a home theater setup which won’t break the bank but will be music to your ears. You don’t have to spend a lot all at once, but if you like watching movies you’ll appreciate having more than the standard speakers.
