Vizio will be coming out with a line of both 120Hz and 240Hz HDTVs later on this year. These televisions will be LED, meaning they’ll have several benefits over their LCD counterparts. In addition to having a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio; Vizio is calling it Mega Dynamic Contrast.
These televisions will also feature Energy Star 3.0 complaint Dynamic Power Control (DPC) which allows for the television to tweak setting to the television without compromising picture quality.
To top it all off, Vizio is going to guarantee zero defects in the screen during the warranty period for these televisions as well.
Somewhere Samsung is laughing a little bit less than they were a few months ago and once the VF551XVT1A comes out they’ll be laughing even less as this 55″ LED HDTV under cuts it’s own line of comparably sized televisions by several hundred dollars.
