How To Get The Most From Your Sharp Projector Lamp

Access more than 7.4 million parts at Parts Direct

Sharp is one of the top projector brands.  Since projector lamps aren’t cheap, it’s important to get the longest life from your Sharp projector lamps.  Sharp has several tips you should consider:

 a. Are you shutting the unit down properly? Many of the models have a two-stage shut down process. Be sure to shut the unit off with the power control on the top of the projector or on the remote control. The fan will continue to run, thus cooling the lamp properly. When the fan stops on its own, it is then safe to power down the unit with the main power switch – usually at the rear of the projector.

b. How much ventilation is available to the projector? Heat is an enemy of all projector lamps. Be sure to install or use the projector in areas that have plenty of clean ventilation.

c. Are the filters clean? The environment can be a major cause of premature lamp failures. Check your filters often for anything that could be blocking complete air flow. This is especially necessary when the units are installed in smoky or dusty rooms.

If you need a replacement lamp, our partner PartStore has a wide array at great prices and with free shipping.  In addition to Sharp projector lamps, you’ll also find replacement projector remotes, filters, and other Sharp projector parts.

Some of the top Sharp projector lamps are AN100LP/1, ANK2LP/1, and ANXR10LP/1.
