If you own a Insignia brand HDTV with the model number IS-LCDTV26, you may be at danger. There is a chance that the television may pose a potential danger for catching on fire and burning.
According to the CPSC:
This recall involves Insignia 26-inch flat-panel LCD televisions, model number IS-LCDTV26. The model number is printed on the back of the television and the word “INSIGNIA” is printed on the bottom front. No other Insignia model televisions are involved in this recall.
The word is that once you notify Best Buy that you want your television replaced, they will send you a box to get the television from you. After which they’ll send you a $500 gift card so you can purchase a replacement television.
Once you get the gift card, you should look at some of the other HDTVs that are available. Instead of a 26″ LCD HDTV, you can get the Samsung 32A330 which retails for $549, but is currently on sale for $488.
