XChangemag.com is reporting that they have inside information that the Pre will sell for $150 with a new activation. This would undercut the current price of the 8GB iPhone by $50 but that’s more of an apple to oranges comparison.
Watching television is one of the features of the Pre, but having it featured on Sprint’s network is a big sticking point. Thousands of subscribers have switched from other carriers to AT&T but it remains to be seen if people will do the same to get aboard Sprint.
Verizon is able to claim having the “best quality” network and AT&T can claim having the “largest” network. Sprint isn’t left with being able to make any claims. It used to be able to say that all calls are placed on the only all digital network back when it was Sprint PCS. Now, the only headlines you hear are about customers jumping ship hoping to find greener pastures with other mobile providers.
With the Pre rumored to come out in the May/June timeframe it looks like there won’t be much more waiting before all of the questions are answered.
