You have a great opportunity to keep watching television but tell your television provider that you don’t want to pay for those channels anymore. If you want to stop paying for cable here’s what you’ll need:
-Television (preferably an HDTV… doesn’t matter if it’s 720p or 1080p but it will need a VGA connection)
-Computer (desktop, laptop – as long as it has an internet connection you’ll be good)
-Software to watch TV on your computer
-Cable to hookup your TV and computer together
Once you have all of these thing, you’re all set. First thing you do is get the software. If you’re paying $50/month that’s $600 per year to watch the television shows you like. You’ll be able to watch over 3,000 television stations from the US and from countries around the world. From there you can either get rid of your cable company alltogether – or just downgrade to basic service.
Hooking it up to your television is completely your call, but if your laptop only has a 15 inch screen you may not want to get the family huddled around it to watch primetime television.
