You’re a special kind of person when you have $7,000 to burn on a new television. Still, those people exist and they need toys too. For those special people Panasonic has decided to go upmarket and release the VX100W line of plasma HDTVs.
According to PCWorld these televisions boast:
A 60,000:1 contrast ratio means that deep blacks and bright, clear whites are able to be displayed simultaneously, while an industry-leading 7160 steps of colour gradation allows colours to be displayed accurately and without loss of detail. In addition to targeting home theatre enthusiasts, Panasonic believes the screens are suitable for broadcast and production studios.
You expect black deeper than the deepest blacks. These televisions are available, so if anyone has looked or bought one please share the experience in the comments.
