New Sharp HDTVs could start looking a lot crisper with the announcement of new Sharp screens. The biggest difference of the new screens is that instead of just showing the traditional red, green, and blue colors these screen will add cyan and yellow. The change will end up showing 99% of visible colors.
This is a great way for manufacturers to charge more since most people still don’t have 1080p HDTVs, and televisions can only get but so thin. Expect to pay a premium once these new screens come out, but there isn’t an ETA on when they’ll start being built into new HDTVs.
