I’m big enough to admit when I’m wrong and I just might…might be wrong about internet connected HDTVs. I made the decision today when I read about Netflix coming to Sony BRAVIA HDTVs. I’ve written before about my current television crush, my KDL42V4100 and being able to stream movies directly from over the internet sounds pretty awesome. Being able to get personalized weather and traffic feeds sounds pretty cool too. Actually the more I think about the more I love it. A part of me was fighting it because I could only see how manufacturers are going to mess it up. I still think it’s true, but people need a reason to buy televisions and mergine the web with the living room is the way.
This brings me to the DMX-NV1. Since I don’t have an internet connected television I’m going to have to spend the $150 for one of these bad boys. I’m not exactly looking forward to it, especially since after that I’ll have to spend more money to get a Netflix subscription but I’ll get over it. Lots of people like me love having a new toy and being able to tinker. I’m not sure when I’m going to pick up my DMX-NV1, but once I do – expect a lot of pictures.
